Women in Liberal Arts and Technology (WLAT) offer support to youth to pursue an education in Liberal Arts and Technology. We believe that education in this field creates a diversified and job-force ready individual, primed to take on our society’s challenges and be a contributing member of our society. For that reason, WLAT was created, in the hopes of empowering our youth through outreach programs, community events, and financial grants. Here at WLAT, we are driven by a single goal: to provide more opportunities for our youth. We have had the chance to see the benefits that education in Liberal Arts and Technology provides, and we are driven to make sure that our youth achieve these same benefits and are set up to the best of their ability to make an impact in our society.
Our grant decision-making process is compiled by a series of steps in which a potential grant applicant submits personal statements and through a series of in-person interviews and a comprehensive personal data evaluation, our decision-making process is established. Through this process, we hope to not only empower through education but also through personal relationships and people skills.
While we were established in 2017, we are starting our fundraising activities in 2019 and kick off our grant activities in 2020 Academic Year.
WLAT is a public charity organization exempt under IRC Section 501(c)(3).

With this initiative, our goal is to promote great opportunities for those in need. With access to the right resources, youth can become empowered by their own abilities and gain the confidence to fulfill their potential. With our organization’s mission always in mind, we strive to find new strategies for identifying and making grants. We partner with social agencies and our ever-expanding network to identify deserving grantees. Outreach is something that we take very seriously, and our team is working each and every day to make a positive impact.
We are dedicated to ensuring our grants are creating impact. We do this via loving follow-ups and mentoring which is by no means an easy feat. Through the cooperation of our dedicated volunteers, we believe we can facilitate progress in this area. We are always striving to make a difference, and invite you to lend your support.
